Small Bust
Analasis
This bust ended up in the slop bucket. I spent many classes working on it; the neck-down wasn't much of an issue. The neck up, however, the face, hair, and head shape gave me a run for my money. I couldnt get it to a point where I would be able to put it in my house and be happy with it. If I were to redo it, I think I would use a reference person I had a whole 360 of their head.
Plan
Wedge, sculpt neck down, add a double pinch pot head, sculpt head, add facial features and hair, fire, glaze, fire.

Current artist inspired/Mask
Analasis
For this piece, I was inspired by Matt Wedel and his flower tree piece. It reminded me of creeping plants, so I took more of an ivy route rather than his succulent-looking plants. I also really enjoyed the cotton candy colors of his original. I'm not a fan of this piece since I find it a little scary-looking. If I were to do if againg, I would spend more time making a more accurate face and details.
Plan
Wedge, smoosh the center of the face to create the nose and eyes, add plant details, sculpt mouth, etch details, fire, glaze, fire

Pueblo Style Cal Vessel/Choice
Analasis
I love this piece. I find the sleek black lines so satisfying. I tried to make it a little less perfectly shaped, and I really tried to nail the designs from the images I saw on Google. The only thing I would ever change would be making it bigger.
Plan
Wedge, sculpt cup/mug shape, add spout, add handle, fire, add black glaze lines/designs, add clear glaze on top, fire

Mugs/Something Useful
Analasis
I've made a couple of mugs this year, and my sister wanted her own. I asked her what she wanted; she said "cats"-very vague. So I slapped her cat on a mug and sent it her way. If I did it again, I would perfect the shape, and I would have put a base color of underglaze to make her cat pop more.
Plan
Wedge, shape mug on turn table, add handle, paint with underglaze, fire, clear glaze, fire
